The Makkals are our signature collection of dodgy characters conceived by a silly imagination soaked periodically in wine. Each is a one-off, designed by us at Foolish Owl and then carved by a skilled Indonesian craftsman out of Mango wood before being primed, painted and varnished back in our Bali home studio. The Makkals (the name comes from the Tamil word for the man on the street) will add a bit of life, colour and character to your worktable, cabinet or counter top. Feel free to talk to them.
